Il progetto vestax scratch midimod nasce dalla mia collaborazone con vj anatomia e lost dog. Nel prototipo e’ stato utilizzato un mixer pcm-07 per scratch transformandolo in un mixer da vj utilizzando un circuito di interfaccia appositamente progettato e miduino per la generazione di cc midi out prendendo i 2 pgm e il fader pcv,e tutti i potenziometri e levette dello 07 pro, e' quindi possibile controllare utti i software che usano il protocollo midi come vdmx,miss pynky, numerology etc Nei prossimi giorni publicheremo i dettagli egli schemi del progetto.

Numerology is a modular music sequencing and audio plugin environment which uses an innovative approach to electronic music composition based on the techniques of step sequencing and pattern sequencing, augmented by a modular environment that encourages improvisation and experimentation. Numerology 2's module library is centered around a core set of sequencing modules, each targeted for a specific task: The MonoNote sequencer for monophonic lead and bass melodies, the PolyNote and MatrixSeq modules for polyphonic sequencing and the eight-track DrumSeq for drum programming. There are also a pair of 'component' sequencers, the CV (control value) and Gate sequencer modules, which can be used for a technique called Discrete Sequencing, whereby users can create melodic lines by independently sequencing the individual components of notes: pitches, rhythms and dynamics. ...This release of Numerology 2 also includes a pair of sample-based synthesis modules, a polyphonic AudioSample module and an eight-part DrumKit module. Although simple in design, their integration with Numerology affords them some unique benefits, including the ability for the user to customize their settings for each preset pattern, the easy application of modulation to any parameter, and individual outputs for each part in the DrumKit. Numerology 2 requires an Apple Macintosh computer with a CPU speed of 1Ghz or better, and 1GB or more of RAM, running Mac OS X version 10.4.11 or later, and a screen resolution of 1024x768 or better.

Servando Barreiro (Spagna) ha creato Minitronics: un progetto open hardware Plug N’Play multipiattaforma che permette di connetere diversi tipi di sensori: “Minia is an Usb, plug n play & multiplatform device that allows the computer to comunicate with the external /physical world. in VDMX,dalla versione 6.2.7, e' possibile usare le QC Patch come Plugin Se creiamo una patch che ha uno piu' Published Output e la salviamo nella folder Plugin di VDMX possiamo fruttare poi i Published Output come un qualsiasi Datasource . Nella sezione download trovate un semplice esempio che usa la patch Interpolation.

Con Leopard e QC 3.0 e' possibile usare i plugin freeframe in quartz composer. Nella sezione download trovate un file che contiene alcune patch di QC che permettono di usare i freeframe in VDMX. per usarli assicuratevi di aver prima installato i plugin freeeframe di Peter Warden.
Dopo aver scaricato il file copiate il contenuto nella cartella QCFX di VDMX. Qui il link al relativo trehad sul forum di Vidvox

Ho deciso di aprire questo blog dopo piu' di un anno di utilizzo del software di VIDVOX . Le cose che più mi hanno impressionato sono la sua modularità la semplicita' con cui si possono usare le patch di Quartz Composer, sia come effetti che come loop e e la possibilta' di comunicare sia via MIDI che OSC.
